Protecting workers, reducing risks and eliminating the need for scaffolding

As founder and CEO of Glazesafe, Daniel Cheddie combines more than 25 years of glazing experience with a professional background in emergency services risk management. His practical understanding of safety, fall-prevention and complex access environments led to the design of the Stronghold and Sashmate systems, award-winning engineered solutions now trusted across the UK to reduce scaffold use, improve safety and significantly cut access costs for councils and social housing providers.

Reliable, Specialist Support for Complex Projects

Whether working on high-rise blocks, secure government and diplomatic buildings, police facilities, schools or properties beside rivers and railways, our certified teams use Glazesafe’s patented systems, Stronghold and Sashmate, to complete repairs and installations safely from inside the building, without the disruption, risk or cost of external access equipment.

Trusted by Councils Across the UK

Certified internal-access glazing teams delivering projects for councils, housing providers, ALMOs and secure public-sector estates.

Faster, Safer Glazing for Hard-to-Reach Areas

Stronghold and Sashmate deploy internally in minutes, reducing time at height and avoiding delays caused by scaffold mobilisation.

Removing Risk and Disruption

Complete high-rise and restricted-access glazing internally, avoiding resident decants, façade obstruction and prolonged scaffold exposure.

Cost-Saving Internal Access

By eliminating scaffold and MEWP hire, our approach typically removes thousands of pounds of access cost per project — allowing more budget to be directed into actual repairs.

Specialists in internal-access glazing for complex and restricted environments

Glazesafe supports councils, social housing providers and large estate operators with specialist glazing teams trained to work in high-risk, sensitive and difficult-to-access locations. Using our patented Stronghold and Sashmate systems, we deliver repairs and replacements safely from inside the building — solving access challenges without scaffolding.

Supporting both emergency and planned glazing works

Our internal-access approach is designed to support clients across both emergency safety-critical situations and planned refurbishment or maintenance programmes. Because Stronghold and Sashmate are deployed internally by our own trained teams, we are able to mobilise rapidly where delays would otherwise present unacceptable risk — while still operating within a fully engineered, controlled and compliant methodology.

For planned programmes, the same approach delivers programme certainty, reduced disruption and significant savings compared with traditional external access, allowing housing providers and public-sector estates to direct more of their budget into the actual works rather than scaffolding.

Our Story - Since 2005

Glazesafe was founded in 2005 when Daniel Cheddie developed Sashmate — a pioneering system that transformed internal glazing access by enabling faster and safer window repairs at height. The success of Sashmate led to further innovation and the creation of Stronghold, a fully engineered internal anchor and barrier system designed to replace external access requirements such as full scaffolding and MEWPs.

Today

Today, Daniel works as both founder and lead consultant, designing bespoke engineered access solutions for complex glazing projects — from high-rise housing and secure government buildings to major refurbishment programmes.

Our nationwide installation teams are fully trained and certified to operate all Glazesafe systems, supporting councils and housing providers with a safe, practical and scaffold-free approach to glazing at height.

What We Do

Safety-led solutions

Glazesafe works as a specialist internal-access glazing contractor, designing bespoke engineered procedures for complex and high-risk sites, and implementing them through our own trained installation teams. Using our patented Stronghold and Sashmate systems, we complete glazing works safely from inside the building — eliminating external scaffolding, improving site security and aesthetics, reducing programme risk and lowering carbon impact. This approach allows clients to focus limited budgets on the actual repairs and replacements rather than on costly access equipment.

Nationwide expertise

Our teams operate nationwide, supporting councils, housing associations, principal contractors and public-sector estates with glazing works in challenging and restricted-access environments. Whether resolving urgent glazing failures, replacing ageing double-glazed units or supporting planned refurbishment programmes, we deliver a reliable, compliant and scaffold-free internal-access solution tailored to each site.
